The Granary

Lovingly converted, upside down house with large, flower-filled garden featuring a pond and decking area. Private location (situated at the end of a row of 3 cottages) with breath-taking views! It is adjacent to the farm’s sheep pens so farming life can often be observed, and heard, throughout the seasons. There is also a Garden studio with en-suite shower room. Can be slept in during summer months by two extra people or used for setting up a telescope for evenings of stargazing.

Kitchen

The well-equipped farmhouse kitchen has real wood floors, beams and patio doors leading out to a Juliet balcony and fabulous views beyond. There is a seating area so family life can still be enjoyed and holiday chefs aren’t hidden away whilst slaving over a hot stove!

Living room

The living room is cosy and comfortable with a jumbo sofa, original beams, exposed stonework and a log burning stove. The cottage has WIFI, books and games and the tv has a freesat box.

Bedrooms

The ground floor master bedroom has a very comfortable double bed, patio doors leading out to the garden and an en-suite shower room. Views from the bedroom are across the Rede valley and bird feeders hanging in front of the doors often attract woodpeckers and goldfinches.

The second bedroom has zip and link beds which make up into a king-size or twin bed. There is also a sizeable family bathroom with bath.

There is a tiled boot room on the ground floor with washing machine, large sink and hanging space for coats and muddy boots

Garden

There is a shallow pond in the garden and the central stairs leading to the kitchen area do not have a stairgate. The house is not very suitable for under 7’s unless closely supervised.

Pets

A small dog with very clean feet is welcome upon request, if paws are washed and left to dry in the boot room before heading up the brand new stair carpet! The garden is not securely fenced so owners have to accompany dogs at ALL times when outside – not an ideal scenario  – the Hemmel is a much easier cottage for pets
