Cheviot hills - fabulous walking on National Park trails. No army exercises and firing during lambing season (April) , limited access at other times of year. Excellent cycling on range roads - observe red flag and firing!

Pennine way only 3 miles away

Cycle routes along quiet single track roads from Otterburn to Bellingham and beyond start only 1 mile from farm

Otterburn village trail

Vast network of mountain biking and easier off-road tracks at Kielder Forest Park . Excellent 26 mile cycle/walking trail around the reservoir. Kielder Marathon in October and mountain bike events year round
